Important Message from eHow.com

Hi cpedley,

All of us on occasion encounter spam on the Internet; it's sadly become a staple of the modern online experience.  Unfortunately, eHow is no exception to this, and occasionally malicious folks try to attack, trick, or defraud our members.

Recently, for example, some members received a message in their eHow inboxes, purporting to congratulate them on winning a fictional promotion. The message wasn't particularly convincing — it directed you to contact someone in China to claim your winnings, and we're a California-based company.

When we need to send special announcements, whether to an individual member or to the site's community at large, we'll always send our messages directly to your email inbox, directly from an address at eHow.com or DemandMedia.com (our parent company). If you're ever unsure about the legitimacy of a message you receive from eHow.com, just forward it to us at member.service@ehow.com, and we'll let you know.

Best Regards,
The eHow Team

How to Choose a Lawyer

by Lea Ann Fessenden-Joseph

Just because someone hangs a license on the wall to practice law, they may not necessarily be the right attorney for matters that apply to you. It is well worth your time to do some investigating and querying before you select a lawyer to represent your interests. Most attorneys value their reputations and will be honest about what they know and do not know. It is in their best interest to be up front with their clients because they most often rely on referrals for new business.
