Contests, prizes, new features and more!

Hi ,

It's been awhile since we sent out our last newsletter; we haven't been hiding, just working on lots of great, new features!   From exciting contests and promotions to easier navigation on the site, we've got it all.  So, without further ado, here's a peak at what's hot on eHow.com...

We want you to win cool stuff.

Interested in winning some cool eHow goodies and cash prizes?  We're kicking Spring off with a bang - for the first time in the history of eHow.com, we're holding not one, but TWO big promotions in the same month.

  • The eHow site is going green in honor of Earth Day.  Submit your environmentally friendly articles and get a chance to win some great prizes.  100 writers will win an eHow branded re-usable shopping bag and one grand prize winner will receive the ultimate "Go Green" gift pack, which includes organic cotton eHow t-shirt, eHow BPA-free sport bottle, water and energy saving showerhead, low energy light bulbs, organic coffee, organic tea, and organic shower gel and shaving soap.  For rules and details, please check here: eHow is Going Green Contest

  • Join eHow.com's Spring Into Action contest.  Submit your articles on everything and anything regarding the Spring season and you'll have the opportunity to win eHow goodies and cash prizes.  For rules and details, please check here: eHow.com's Spring Into Action Contest.

We've made navigation even easier.

Want only articles on auto repair?  How about articles only on auto repair, written by an eHow member, that are easy to complete?  Now you can perform narrowed searches by selecting various details such as sub-categories, content type, tags, author type, skill level, and ratings.  The new search tool is available on our category pages (located on the left side of the pages) and the experience will make it quite easy for you to find exactly what you're looking for.

eHow Writers -  Start marketing your articles in a fun way!

Getting your articles published on eHow is a huge personal accomplishment, so why not share this with your friends?  We've made it easy for you to spread the word about your articles through our Facebook and Twitter applications.  With these new toolsets, you can do the following:

  • Share your newly published eHow articles on your Facebook page.  You can do this by checking the Facebook box on the publishing tool page.  It's as easy as that - once you've hit the publish button, your article will then be posted to your Facebook account.

  • You can also share your newly published articles on your Twitter account.  Simply, go into your notification settings from your profile page and sync up your Twitter account with your eHow account by inputting your Twitter information.  Once you've done that, you're all set and any articles you publish will show up on your Twitter account.
